Resumen
The executive functions, personality styles and impulsivity were assessed in a nonrandom sample of 29 men convicted of the crime of violent sexual intercourse and deprived of freedom in the model Bogota prison. All participants were given a socio-demographic questionnaire, the Neuropsychological Battery Executive and Frontal Lobes functions (BANFE) Scale Barratt Impulsiveness (BIS 11) and Exploratory Questionnaire Personality (CEPER III), in order to identify performance in each test and the possible relations between their scores. The results show that the evaluation of executive functions, were more frequent severe diagnostic scores in the anterior prefrontal area, while mild diagnostic scores were equal in the dorsolateral and orbitofrontal-medial areas. In assessing impulsivity more frequent diagnostic scores in the attentional presented. In assessing personality styles, the most common style was obsessive-compulsive and less frequent were the sadist, histrionic, schizoid and antisocial styles. The data are discussed in terms of the implications of these findings on the explanation of sexual assault and their impact on assessment strategies, assessment, design and implementation of treatment in the prison context.
