The international airport El Dorado Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento, in the city of Bogotá is the main airport in the country, being an important HUB of passengers and cargo, both for Colombia and for the region, however, the rampant growth of the population has left the airport immersed within the city, so that, and due to the rapid growth in demand for air transport and its limited expansion options It is estimated that El Dorado will reach its operational capacity in a couple of years. To provide a solution and prevent El Dorado from entering saturation, an ambitious plan has been laid out to turn Bogotá into a multi-airport region, that is, for the city to function, in principle, with two airports, for this purpose, it is planned to build a second airport, called El Dorado II, which will operate in the first instance, as a complementary airport to El Dorado, thus satisfying the growing demand of the world, avoiding congestion and delays, providing a better service, reducing times and costs. This study will analyze the current state of El Dorado, the demand in projection, both El Dorado and El Dorado II,the location of El Dorado II and, finally, the operation analysis and distribution of traffic of the next multi-airport system of bogota and region
