The lack of a pavement structure that allows mobility in the Mi Llanura neighborhood in Villavicencio, generates inconveniences in the sector, and being a route that connects with a main avenue is very busy, the project seeks to design a rigid pavement structure for Portland Cement Association methodology is one of the most used and efficient in these designs.
Gauges, soil, climate and temperature studies will be carried out in order to analyze all the aspects involved in making a design and determining a structure for the conditions found. Software will also be used to find an efficient and optimal structure, complying with the design parameters and established standards.
In the design of the pavement for the Mi Llanura neighborhood, it was determined that it is not necessary to treat the granular base, however, for the subgrade it is advisable to perform a treatment with lime, to improve its capabilities, since it is above the permissible limit. Therefore, this cost factor must be taken into account when carrying out the design.
The use of programs facilitates the verification of pavement designs and generates greater confidence in them. And through iterations, it was determined that the rigid pavement design complies with all the parameters and standards in the conditions of the sector, and it is possible to show in the thickness of the concrete slab a common structure for these types of pavements, although it has a minimal granular base, but sufficient to meet design parameters.
