Abstract

This article provides a thematic academic review of the different jurisprudential perspectives on criminal justice for adolescents, taking into account the approaches and analyses concerning laws, norms and jurisprudence issued by international organizations, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights between 1980 and 2020, the amendments to which have represented a significant change in the way in which criminal justice is used for adolescents in the same way, An overview is given of the socio-legal analysis of the judgements handed down by juvenile courts with a view to contributing to social change and improving the quality of life of adolescents in conflict with the criminal law.
