This article presents a bibliometric analysis about the current state of scientific production regarding the responsible consumption of organic food within the Administrative Sciences, between 2000 to 2020. From the methodological point of view, two specific categories of research were established, focused firstly, to the application of responsible consumption of organic food and secondly, to the conceptual origin, its social theories and governmental structures, of which an overview is shown. An analysis of 1,000 publications was performed through Scopus and the R statistical software to identify keywords, authors, citations, co-citations, co-occurrences, research areas, countries, institutional affiliations and sponsors. A good level of cooperation between countries to extend the information on this field is evident, with an annual growth of 16% in the number of publications, yet a low contribution at the Latin American level. Likewise, it is proposed to encourage research and publication on responsible consumption of organic food in the studied area.
