Resumen
Given the health emergency generated by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a disinfection cabin has been designed with an aluminum structure and 6 mm polycarbonate sheets that frame a PVC pipe system, these conduct a disinfectant composed of water and soap in a concentration of 3g / L from a storage tank to some nozzles that allow the fluid to be sprayed and thus spread it evenly over the person inside. It has been established through modeling that the system requires a ½ hp peripheral electric pump and through experimentation it has been determined that the system at the end of the nozzle works with a pressure of 40 PSI and a flow rate of 0.224 L / min. However, since the system takes about 290 seconds to release the pressure when the pumping mechanism has been deactivated, it has been decided to create a pressure release network that involves a ball valve that allows pressure regulation, establishing that the optimum operating pressure of the system is at 30 PSI, which allows an immediate release of the pressure and the return to the storage tank of the disinfectant.
