The present work focuses on the recovery of the practice and pedagogical knowledge of a teacher native to the territory of Sumapaz. This experience is valued through the life of the teacher Alfredo Díaz and the different articulations of the social and political sphere, which he has managed to develop throughout his pedagogical exercise; Rescuing in this way in the story of life and product of the dialogical and reflective character, that history necessary to be able to configure a better role of the teacher in the peasant rural school of Sumapaz. This process is developed from the biographical-narrative approach, where it is fundamentally shaped: in a first section, the reconstruction of the territorial context of Sumapaz, supported by the perception of some actors of the educational community and academic productions of the region; In a second, the due history of the teacher in Sumapaz, who rescues the episodes of life that were important part in the pedagogical construction; A third, the critical interpretation of the researchers, which unveils some key ideas of the exercise; And in the end, some lessons from the process that radiate what has been learned.
