Resumen
This article makes a critical analysis of the way in which knowledge is managed in the School Feeding Program (PAE) in Latin America; this program focuses on the achievement of food security, education and social economy objectives and helps to meet the ODS. The research contributed to the information gap in the literature through a critical analysis of knowledge management in the development of the program in Latin America, based on Nonaka and Takeuchi's model for Knowledge Creation.
The literature on the subject was exhaustively reviewed to answer the research question: What practices and approaches exist on knowledge management in the school feeding program (PAE) in Latin America? The findings focus on the lessons learned from countries in the implementation of the program and the way in which this knowledge is transferred in Latin America, through organizations that participate at the global level such as the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Finally, the research opens alternatives to propose a knowledge management model in the development of the program, which is useful for creating, identifying, capturing, storing and transferring knowledge in the PAE program.
