Resumen
This study shows the positive impact of the restorative justice strategy “Semilleros de Convivencia” in the reduction of scholar violence, in 94 students of primary school in the C bureau of the school Simón Rodriguez at Bogota. This study included the participation of managers, teachers, family parents and students, from August 2011 to November 2012. The strategy was chosen because it is designed under restorative justice basic principles, through the implementation of agreements of social harmony oriented from the minimal ethics. The comparative results (pre and post), the observations and assessmenets used under pre experimental design, with no control group, showed that behaviors like “behave wrong with others” reduced from 48% in the pretest, to 27% in the posttest; while the perception of the violence expressed in the item “do you consider normal in this institution to be insulted, be beaten or teased”, just decreased from 36% to 29%.
Then, it is concluded that “Semilleros de Convivencia” help teachers to review and enrich their vision, the conflict and their harmony, and let children to increase prosocial attitudes, restore broken relationships and reduce violent behaviors in the school. The internal validity of this study is limited, because it does not control every possible variable without including a control group; however, the methodology is replicable and it is considered an input from the legal psychology to the prevention of criminal profiles.
