Resumen
This research carried out a project proposal, which consisted of improving the Living and Housing Conditions (LVC) using Sustainable Architecture (SA), in the community of Barrio Villa España (Commune 1), Quibdó, Chocó; also, the proposal sought to mitigate through sustainable architecture multiple problems such as: poverty, lack of basic services, dynamics of violence, lack of adequate facilities, and irregular and disorderly urban growth. Thus, methodologically, the research was divided into three phases: the first phase is a documentary collection phase, based on the two variables: Sustainable Architecture and Living and Housing Conditions (contextual); the second phase is of interpretation, and content analysis was used as a technique to understand how the SA improves the VC (Housing) of the community; and, in the third phase, the design and construction of the architectural project proposal was executed.
