Formulación de un modelo para la gestión de inventarios de la empresa Flowserve Colombia S.A.S.

Abstract

One of the most important financial assets of a company is its inventory, therefore, inventory management will have a favorable or unfavorable impact on certain financial variables such as financial balance, cash flow, liquidity, costs, etc. The objective of this proposal is to propose an inventory management model appropriate to the nature of the company, this will allow better management of such an important asset. In order to achieve the objective of this proposal a 3 stage descriptive-correlational cross sectional investigation will be done in order to show the current and real situation of the company. Stage 1: Identify the current management style of the organization taking into account product demand, customers, suppliers and production process of the company. Stage 2: Analyze the current inventory management system. Stage 3: State the improvement proposal for inventory management adjusted to the company needs.
