Abstract

In this document is evidenced the work carried out in the design and implementation of com- pression algorithm for a biometric feature, getting to achieve store it in a contactless smart card and its subsequent application in an access control which does not have one with another storage medium other than the card, it is necessary to emphasize that to achieve the goal is necessary to follow a series of steps to reach the best result among them is, study the biometric feature to use, verify the existing compression algorithms, among other steps that are deepened in the methodology. During the solution of the project it is expected to find a way to store a biometric feature in a contactless smart card in order to later apply it in an access control.
