Evaluación de la capacidad instalada de los espacios físicos destinados a la docencia para los programas de pregrado de la Universidad Santo Tomás en el campus de Floridablanca a 2019.

Abstract

The current research aims to determine the benchmarking space usage of the Floridablanca Campus. The information that will provide will be taken into account for the decision-making process of the Board of Directors of the Santo Tomás University in Bucaramanga, on the development of undergraduate programs in this campus. All this based on the great potential of the current on-campus facilities in terms of their beauty, ecologic, and high-functionality structural design, all reasons for its positive impact within the community. To determine this calculation, it was necessary to have available all the information about the physical infrastructure assigned to teaching, say, the specifications of the physical spaces, its restrictions for usage, availability and the amount of hours spent for teaching. In addition to this information, it was necessary to know the number of students registered on each course during the first semester of 2019. This academic period was chosen because it represented an increase in new comer students registration.
