This monograph presents a diagnosis focused on the review and analysis of the fire protection system implemented in the architectural designs of three institutional basic education projects, designed and executed in the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Area in the last 5 years, analyzing compliance and the application of regulations related to fire protection of buildings in Colombia, mainly the Colombian Regulations for the Construction of Earthquake Resistant “NSR-10” in its titles J and K, emphasizing the implementation of the minimum safety standards established, as to occupations and evacuations of educational institutions with the purpose of generating conclusions.
To comply with the above mentioned, the methodology of this monograph reaches the following parameters: Initially a comparative analysis is carried out between the NSR-10 in its titles J and K and the NFPA, in regard to fire protection in educational institutions, NSR-10 being the base regulation. In the second instance, based on the analysis of the NSR-10, a series of parametric tables are projected as a review element. Subsequently, through the photographic planimetry and registration of three educational institutions of the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga, the review will be carried out through the completion of the parametric tables. Continuing with the generation of graphic diagnosis; obtaining in this way quantitative and qualitative data that allow us to demonstrate compliance or not with the fire regulations in the educational institutions under evaluation. Finalizing with the presentation of the conclusions resulting from the development of the diagnosis.
