Diagnostico de la calidad de agua poable en los municipios del departamento del Meta: actualización y recopilación de información

Abstract

The development of the monograph focuses mainly on an analysis of the quality of water for human consumption in the department of Meta, and thereby diagnose from the information provided by the superintendent of public services in compliance with Colombian regulations that It specifically governs resolution 2115 and 2007. In this way, the existing coverage in the department of Meta in terms of sewage and aqueduct is identified, which shows that, although its development has increased, it is the department that has the least coverage with respect to the Orinoquia region. In addition, the physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics that determine the risk of water quality from the calculation of the IRCA were described, based on the resolution described, with this the municipalities were classified according to the risk that they present, identifying which ones are the most important cases. The recommendations are mainly given to the continuous improvement of quality, the expansion of coverage and a correct implementation of rural plans because it is in this area where coverage is lower and its risk index is higher. Finally, conclusions and recommendations are described for the academic study and other demonstrations focused on the relationship of coverage expansion with respect to the quality of water for human consumption
