Resumen
This document presents a guide for the comprehensive management of domestic wastewater in the village of Las Angustias, San Antonio del Tequendama. For the above, 31 houses were chosen, of the 94 that the village has, a diagnosis of the basic sanitation conditions was carried out, the most appropriate alternatives for the management of these waters were analyzed and based on this, a guide was elaborated. within the framework of a sanitation safety plan, which was later shared with the community.
In the diagnosis it was found that the community does not have pretreatment and treatment processes, but they have infiltration wells as a final disposal solution. As a pretreatment and treatment solution, integrated septic systems of 2,000 liters that include grease traps, septic tanks and upflow anaerobic filters (FAFA) were proposed in the analysis of alternatives for the proper management of wastewater. For the final disposal, it was considered to optimize the infiltration wells, with an area of 21.6 m2 and a depth of 3.2 meters.
Finally, the guide was developed by articulating these considerations with elements dictated in the sanitation safety plans, where farmers, consumers, users and the local community were identified as the main exposure groups. The main control measures to reduce the risk of exposure were: increase fumigation against mosquitoes to reduce vectors, properly wash food before consuming it, use adequate personal protection equipment when maintenance of absorption wells and delimit the areas where the wastewater from the wells overflows, to restrict the flow of people, especially children under five years of age. These provisions were explained in detail in the socialization of the guide, so that it serves as an instrument for the sustainable planning of wastewater and that the lowest risk of exposure to excreta is guaranteed.
