This research project analyzes the potential of the production of biogas from porcine manure and bovine manure as inoculum using as a substrate the mucilage of coffee byproduct of the coffee benefit, with the aim of providing new option to the management of this waste and production of alternative bioenergy for the access of basic services in rural areas. The methodology was carried out in three stages: measuring the biomethanization potential (PBM) through several mixtures of Inoculum / Substrate and characterization of the biogas generated by the mixtures proposed in the anaerobic co-digestion (CoDA). The results obtained show that the pig manure has in its characteristics and conditions suitable to be used as an inoculum in an anaerobic digestion process, while the bovine manure has a great capacity to control the pH, nevertheless it has low performance that can be complemented each other by a mixture . On the other hand, the coffee mucilage was used as substrate and it was observed that its use in certain quantities some physicochemical parameters as the SV / ST ratio were affected and these are related with the generation of biogas. Finally, the acclimation strategy was used in order to obtain better results in the production of biogas, it was concluded that when carrying out this procedure in the CoDA there is an increase in the accumulation of the biogas obtained.
