Resumen
The present degree work is based on the parental competencies which are compound by capacities and functions proposed by Barudy and Dantagnan (2007). The main objective is to describe the parental competencies of parents related to their children born of multiple pregnancies, in order to identify the requirements that this type of parentage brings.
Overall, inclusion criteria within the study are three nuclear families with children born of multiple pregnancies which are interested in participating and whose ages are between 0 and 12 years old. The first family is compounded of mother, father and triplets eight years old triplets, the second family is compounded of mother, father and nine-year-old twins and the third family is made up of mother, father and two years old twins. The study is delimited and understood through the Cybernetics of Second Order and Complexity; a second-order qualitative and social research was carried out; a study of an instrumental case was carried out, composed by in-depth interviews, which have as focus of interest (competences, capacities and parental functions); Furthermore, the elaboration of an eco-map to identify the support networks that the family nucleus has and the relationship within it was realized. In order to obtain information on how a category analysis can be carried out, by means of categories (deductive and inductive), the information has been compiled where the family system is included as a determining role in family dynamics, as the main focus. Mothers and fathers face parental competences; also each parental sub-core is required to develop specific capabilities and functions at different times, in relation to the ages of their children. In all three cases, capacities and functions were denoted with different frequencies, despite the vicissitudes that come from being a mother or father of triplets, twins or twins.
