The Avenida del Llano is a very important road corridor in the city of Villavicencio, in which this avenue has been presenting deteriorations in the structure of the pavement that affects the operation of this and the development of activities of the users that pass through the road. Therefore, it was proposed to carry out an adequate maintenance plan based on a damage survey and analysis of these along 1758 meters corresponding to this important avenue. Through this survey, the existing faults in the road were identified, with which we define the maintenance that must be done to prolong the useful life of the pavement structure. Two methods were used to record and analyze the damage, the first being the INVIAS method, where each meter of the road had to be inspected, revealing the damage found in the format regulated by the national road system, and the The second method used was PCI, which allowed to select sampling units to analyze the damage. The results of the project show the high deterioration of the pavement, where the 216 meters of rigid pavement have a greater area of damage than the flexible pavement. Throughout the road there are patches and fissures or cracks of various types, these pathologies are the main problem of the rolling area of study area, so the maintenance plan had a special focus on this type of damage. Two types of alternative maintenance were determined, with which it is sought to increase the structural capacity of the road, reduce maintenance and construction costs in a certain percentage, in the same way this document could be used in new construction of roads in the city of Villavicencio, taking into account that the city's soils are generally taxed, these methodologies could be an important solution in all civil works
