Parque agroalimentario del sur - Tunja

Abstract

This degree project proposes the architectural and urban design of the market square in Tunja´s south, as an economic, social and cultural axis of the city, using implementation and innovation techniques. Based on the above, it is intended to harness the potential of agriculture in the Department of Boyacá, in order to create new dynamics of growth and development in the agrarian and industrial sector. The project tries to link the sector of the industry with the agriculture and to extend the economic development of rural entrepreneurs, micro and macro companies of the Department. This with the purpose to initiate competitive advantages in the economy of the department and to promote the growth of the agrarian sector in the city. As an answer, it brings out an agri-food park, which consist of an improvement and modernization of the whole traditional infrastructure that has been the axis of commercialization and meeting of the city, receiving producers and farmers of the boyacense field and where the interaction with the agriculture, the industry and trade, make an harmonic and effective space that directed to the creation of new products and to expand the service to departmental level. The agri-food park set out in the same sector where the market square are currently, since it is a strategic place that allows the connection with the main national routes of the city, as the Avenue Career 6 South and towards the East with the dual carriageway, which determine the design of the project. The project is incorporated to the city through to recovery the space, because due to inadequate planning, there are insecurity problems, invasion of public space and soil degradation, being a hierarchic sector with a potential high of development, nowadays, it become a segregated sector. In this way is rehabilitated the sector with specific spaces with the aim to restore that zone with the city and so, to propose a better quality of life. In brief, the project look for the promotion and growth in agriculture in the city to benefit and innovate the industrial area, that promotes the rural economy and reaching a greater participation of producers and farmers in exceptional and suitable physical and technological spaces.
