Migración venezolana y generación de empresa en Bucaramanga 2010 - 2018

Abstract

This research project identifies the relationship between the migratoty phenomenon and the generation of business in Bucaramanga by citizens from Venezuela between 2010 and 2018. For this, a mixed methodology was chosen, framen in descriptive and exploratory studies, using two information gathering techniques, document review and surveys of businessmen in Bucaramanga. The results suggest that the migratory phenomenon between Venezuela and Colombia has consolidated the so-called “ethnic economy” in Bucaramanga, allowing economic independence to migrants as a form of self-defense against exclusion, xenophobia, and labor competition.
