Momentos de la literatura colombiana. La apuesta de dos culturas. Una tradición teatral.

Abstract

Two units offer the reader-student of the University and the interested reader in general, a complete and orderly investigation of Colombian literature, together with a critical history, conceived under the essay genre (since we consider that literature should not be pigeonholed in rigid schemes of instruction), thus facilitating the understanding of our culture and literature, since they will attend to the author and the reader as participants of a community that they interpret, recreate and transform in a continuous process of search for identity. and that they recreate and transform in a continuous process of search for identity. It should be clarified that the topics are not intended to be exhausted; on the contrary, many questions remain subject to complement and analysis by the reader. Both units were conceived as essays, and when the topic requires it, they provide the precise quotations that support each statement. Finally, we consider their purpose and research process as a valid and valuable contribution to our literary culture. It is worth recommending the relevance of the total but not partial reading of the most important and representative works of each period. At the end are the complementary activities that we recommend with special emphasis to be performed in its entirety. There is also a self-evaluation, which we hope will be adjusted to the characteristics of the text as a critical work, seeking an analytical and critical student, who recognizes the literary techniques and the cultural context of the works of each period. Finally, the bibliography presented at the end of each unit is a point of support for the student and reader in general, as it shows the main sources including the most recent references for the study and research of Colombian Literature.
