The degree report that is presented below describes the signaling protocols used in a cellular network for circuit switching and packet switching, this in order to gather information that may be helpful for different processes taken into account in the analysis and management of alarm signaling that may occur in a cellular network, the physical place where is alarm management called network operations center (NOC, Network Operations Center). The signaling system used in networks of fixed and mobile telephony such as the public telephone network, switched (PSTN) and GSM / EDGE respectively is the signaling system 7 (SS7) defined by the ITU-T Q series 700.
