Resumen
Objective: analyze variations in wetting angle measurements of superhydrophobic surfaces of ophtalmic lenses exposed to different types of oils. Methodology: it's an experimental study type laboratory test whose sample size is approximately 50 mounts. In orden to respond to the objectives, the following variables were taken into accounts of: Wetting Angle (AC), superhydrophobic anti-reflection filter (AR), ophtalmic lens material and different types of oils with specific properties. The measurement of the wetting angle in these lenses was made by means of the MATLAB digital processing program. The experimental assembly had an image acquisition system by means of the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) to acquire the images, with a manual scissor platform for laboratory, lighting System, a light diffuser and a burette for the application of oily substances. The oily substance was applied on the surface of the lens, capturing the images of the oil droplets applied on the mentionated surfaces, then, the images were processed by implementing the Matlab R2021a software, obtaining the expected results regarding the measurement of the contact angle existing between the lens surface and the oils by analyzing each of the data obtained. Expected results: in the present research through which the grade working document was carried out, the way of measuring the wetting angle was evidenced, determining the numerical values of the measurements of the contact angles generated by the drops of different oils applied on the ophthalmic lenses with the different filters proposed in the study.
