Factores psicosociales asociados a la violencia de pareja en agresores del Departamento de Boyacá

Abstract

The present study aims to determine the psychosocial factors associated with intimate partner violence and its correlation with the types of physical, sexual or psychological violence, specifically in aggressors with roots in the department of Boyacá. In the study 250 men who presented different sociodemographic characteristics participated by filling out a digital questionnaire from which the following results were extracted: The aggressors who demonstrated physical violence presented thoughts and emotions of acceptance and justification about the aggressions, phenomenon linked to the culture of the patriarchy, and a decreased will to change; this in comparison to those who presented a psychological type of violence who express a high motivation of change to discontinue relapsing in aggressive behaviors towards their intimate partners.
