Resumen
The main objective of this research was to determine if there is a relationship between Emotional Dependence, Emotional Intelligence and Partner Violence in students and teachers of the Faculty of Psychology at the Universidad Santo Tomás, Villavicencio. For this purpose, the present research corresponds to a non-experimental quantitative study, students and teachers of the faculty of Psychology were selected by means of a non-probabilistic sampling, but intentional. Four instruments were applied: the Sociodemographic Questionnaire, the Dating Violence Questionnaire (CUVINO), the Trait Mental-Mood Scale -24 (TMMS-24) and the Emotional Dependence Questionnaire (CDE). From the data obtained, descriptive analyses and correlations were performed. The results showed a statistically significant and positive relationship between the variables studied. It is concluded that emotional dependence, emotional intelligence and intimate partner violence are variables that predict behaviors, thoughts and ideas that are maintained in the social problem of violence.
