Significados construidos de los líderes y lideresas en torno al suicidio en la comunidad LGBT del departamento del Meta

Abstract

The following investigation was done with the objective of identifying the meanings around suicide, built by leaders of LGBT community of Meta department. This from an epistemological position of social constructivism and from the interpretative paradigm, responding to a qualitative methodology which allowed to reach an approach of this suicidal phenomenon in the LGBT community of the region of the region, starting from the narrative of the leaders. This, using the techniques of in depth interviews, corporeal cartography and focal group. From the information above it is found that the attempt and consummation of suicide is the resource found as alternative for the LGBT community before the negligence, abandonment and social discrimination found in this investigation like denial, discrimination and ignorance are foundation of that make possible scenarios that affect the mental health of LGBT people.
