Diseño de un Tren de Tratamiento para el Manejo de las Aguas Residuales Domésticas Generadas en el Campus Piedecuesta de la Universidad Santo Tomás, Seccional Bucaramanga

Abstract

The main objective of this project was to design a treatment train for the decentralized management of domestic wastewater from Campus Piedecuesta. Initially, the report of the characterization carried out in the existing septic tank by the ECOSAM S.A.S. laboratory was requested. Next, a compilation of design considerations was carried out from the analysis of bibliographic references and the applicable regulations. Once the criteria were selected, the design proposal was made taking into account the following theoretical efficiencies determined from Resolution 0330 of 2017 and bibliographic references: for the septic tank a projected efficiency of 30% for DBO-DQO, 50% for SST and 81% for faecal coliforms (CF); in FAFA an efficiency of 65% for DQO, 60% of DBO-SST and 80% CF; finally in the artificial wetland an efficiency of 56% for DBO, 90% SST-DQO and 98% for CF was established.
