        Resumen
        The following research examines the substitution process of traditional agricultural crops y fruits farming and its effect on the population’s human development in the village of Naguata (municipality Ramiriquí – department of Boyacá, Colombia) all its dimensions. Ramiriquí has traditionally been a municipality that has been characterized by economic activities in the primary sector and livestock, especially potato cultivation, taking a significant share of production has allowed to contribute to the department of Boyacá is characterized by one of the largest producers of potatoes. However, there have been drawbacks, as noted by the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (2011), which have affected the continuity of potato production, encouraging the population of the village of Naguata, was interested in replacing the traditional crops by fruit crops. In this sense, he had the help and advice from private companies, which determined that the climate of the municipality favored the production of fruit. In view of the foregoing, the present degree work was to investigate the role of replacing traditional crops with crops of fruit in the transformation of the mode of life and human development of the inhabitants of the village, in relation to housing variables, health and education, comparing before and after the substitution process mentioned.
