Resumen
The present study makes a proposal of a productivity and competitiveness model for trout farming, having as reference the authors (Daniel Ruiz Vargas and Luis Carlos Forero Hernández) who propose the aquaculture production model for trout production using the system of recirculation of RAS water in the raising and priming stage.
In this order of ideas, to complement the productivity model in the Colombian context, the elements of competitiveness are taken up again according to the porter diamond model.
With reference to an intensive system of rainbow trout production in floating cages, visit the Truchicol company which is located on the Buenos Aires Vereda Susaca farm in the Tota lagoon, Aquitaine municipality, Boyacá. Collecting productive information to have reference in the proposed model to take the rainbow trout from its lifting stage with a weight of 30 g to its final weight of 375 g in an estimated period of 6 months.
Initially, an art study was carried out to collect data and theoretical concepts from different authors that support the importance of competitiveness and the efficiency of production processes. Likewise, some similar or similar works that provide important concepts for the development of this model are referenced. The proposal of this model determined to the producer to know step by step its technical implementation, based on a water recirculation system (RAS) for the production of rainbow trout.
By highlighting its advantages, it is possible to more efficiently monitor the physical-chemical parameters necessary for optimal production conditions, as well as its productive performance to reach a commercial weight for sale.
Based on the technical proposal, the financial study is proposed, which contributes to evaluating whether its implementation is feasible in the current economy. This helps us to highlight the innovative and creative points of the model, taking into account that there are technological advances that are used as a new production strategy to solve the problems that traditional production systems have.
By implementing this RAS system model, a value proposition of corporate social responsibility is generated to the different interest groups, united in the search for solutions linked to sustainability objectives and social impact, promoting the development of novel proposals where CSR encourages the development of innovative and efficient products and services.
