Abstract

The actual work wants to make a compilation about the most relevant information that has been studied during the Diploma of updating on penal law, that has been dictaded by the Santo Tomas University of the city of Tunja, during the frame of the 25th commemoration of its foundation, where we approached to the concepts of important concerns in Colombian penal law as preclusion and resourses, legally fundamental guarantees and controls, legally relevant facts and alternatives to criminal proceedings - principle of opportunity, this course lasts 120 hours in total. like wise its expected that the present text works as a study guide future researches or as induction material for students of law, because with it, its pretended guide and explain in the most practical manner the topics that have been studied on this Diploma.
