Propuesta de plan de gestión integral de residuos peligrosos para el sistema de gestión ambiental de la constructora Santiago Sánchez Vesga

Abstract

This project arises in the construction company Santiago Sánchez Vesga (SSV) of the need to focus the organizational efforts towards the integral management of Hazardous Waste (RESPEL) generated by the own activities in construction processes, with the purpose of promoting the continuous improvement of the Construction Company and its competitiveness in the market, when designing and carrying out quality projects with the least possible environmental impact. To this end, a Comprehensive Hazardous Waste Management Plan (PGIRP) for the Company's Environmental Management System (GHS) was proposed and formulated, following the guidelines of Decree 4741 of 2005 of the Ministry of Housing, Environment and Territorial Development, for which partially regulates the prevention and management of RESPELs generated in the framework of integral management; This formulation was based on a diagnosis in the Construction Company related to the management of Hazardous Waste or Waste, obtaining as a product the baseline on the treatment given to said waste in the Company. Subsequently, activities were developed for the prevention and minimization of RESPEL and actions for the environmentally safe internal and external management of such waste; This allowed us to establish the framework for action to guarantee the integral management of the RESPELs generated, thus achieving compliance with the guidelines established in the Environmental Policy of the Construction Company. Among the results obtained are the identification, quantification and subsequent classification of the RESPEL, the environmental control sheets applicable to the management of said waste and the respective procedures to be used in case of emergencies; In addition, the stages of execution and monitoring of the project are documented and finally the conclusions and recommendations generated when carrying out this degree work.
