Resumen
This project aimed to carry out a comparative analysis between the Leopold method and the EPM-Arboleda for the identification and assessment of environmental impacts in the intervention of main urban roads. The sample was selected for convenience to take a section of 3 linear kilometers of Las Palmas avenue that is located in the city of Medellín and that was subject to rehabilitation works during the year 2018 and 2019. In the results the Activities of the Project Susceptible to Produce Impact (ASPI) that can generate the intervention works of the mentioned route. Based on this information, the Leopold and EPM-Arboleda matrices were developed to determine the differences and similarities between the two methodologies. Finally, the results of the application of the Leopold method and the EPM-Arboleda were compared as part of the environmental evaluation process required by urban infrastructure projects at the urban level. It was concluded that when carrying out road rehabilitation work in urban areas, the EPM Arboleda method is more appropriate because it allows measuring the evolution of the impact over time and, therefore, a more complete analysis of the effects than the environment is carried out. environment may suffer during the project.
