This project allowed the technical, environmental and economic feasibility of the implementation of a photovoltaic system in a Vive Digital TIC point, in the municipality of Cumaral-Meta, as an initiative to reduce the carbon footprint by mitigating Greenhouse Gases (GHG), in this case the production of CO2, which is generated by hydroelectric plants which produce electricity interconnected in most of Colombia.
These Vive Digital points are responsible for providing free WIFI network for people who wish to use it. Therefore, the simulation of this project was carried out using the simulator program RETScreen Expert, where data, tables and graphs were obtained as results that were used to compare the generation of GHG per CO2 and energy production costs through solar panels.
Taking into account the data generated by the simulator and the bibliographic search, a document was prepared where comparisons were made on the CO2 generation of a Vive Digital TIC post through the use of interconnected energy and the use of an alternative energy, in this case solar panels. On the other hand, technical and economic aspects of these two energy generation techniques were compared, determining the feasibility of the project.
