Resumen
The purpose of this syste matization is analyze strategic communication as a determining factor in the effectivity of interventions in rural areas; in order to improve the practices on the culture of water management, the appropriation of resources in the territory for the promotion of the sense of belonging towards sanitation services. In the study carried out on the project "Formulation and implementation of Insurance plans for 50 Rural Populated Centers", communication strategies were implemented in order to promote the culture of water in the populated centers Medellín del Ariari and Canaguaro, in the department of Meta. The methodology proposed is the “systematization of experiences”, based on the proposal of Professor Alfonso Torres, the techniques used for data collection it was through Documentary Review, Semi-Structured Interviews to Key Players, Tours, Social Mapping, Focus Groups and Timeline. Subsequently, in the analysis of systematization results; a high impact index of strategic communication was identified, achieved with actors of the water service administrative boards, consolidating agreements in administrative, legal, commercial, financial, technical and operational aspects that allowed to improve the provision of the service, promote joint work and knowledge about water governance. This is how, it was established that communication is a determining factor for the effectiveness of active and meaningful participation of the actors involved in the process is needed.
