Resumen
The Bari indigenous school is located in the Catalaura la Gabarra reservation in Norte de Santander, in the Motilón Bari indigenous ethnic group in the Karikachaboquira community, it is based on a main problem which is to materialize the most important characteristics through an educational design of the Bari culture, under the theoretical framework of vernacular architecture as a global concept and emphasized to the ancient Bari architectural responses, the objective is achieved through the methodology which allows us to understand the three essential elements of the architectural problem (subject, object and context).
The subject is approached under two premises, first, observation through field visits and second through bibliographic documentation regarding their worldview, traditions, culture and social organization.
The object of study (school) can be understood through the analysis of three typologies, one national and two international, under the study of five components (formal, functional, urban, technical, and cultural representation) to conclude the essential elements of each component. , in addition to understanding the school standard 10 of the Colombian Ministry of Education and NTC 4595, contextualizing it with the physical and social reality of the community.
Finally, the context is addressed through the analysis of the area at a social, environmental and cultural level, an analysis of the context of the Karikachaboquira community is carried out at a physical-spatial level to understand the past, present and possible future of the Bari territory.
The previous methodology allows us to know the subject, the object and the context, articulating and contrasting the information to formulate our architectural response.
