This was carried out in order to analyze the social representations in front of psychotherapy in students of the faculties of nutrition and dentistry of the University of Sciences and Arts of Chiapas linked to the psychopedagogical attention module, it was executed from a qualitative methodology, supported by the paradigm interpretive and using hermeneutics and phenomenology as an epistemological basis, with a narrative method, as a data collection technique a semi-structured interview was used applied in a virtual way due to the health emergency due to covid19 to nine students who meet the requested inclusion criteria Within this research, the main categories were social representations and psychotherapy, therefore the results were approached from three subcategories; 1) Context with its axes of analysis; educational, reference and family groups, 2) Beliefs; cultural, imaginary and religious, the last subcategory 3) attitude with two axes of analysis; psychotherapy and psychotherapist, from this analysis it was concluded that stigmatization in the face of psychotherapy and the role of the psychologist is mainly caused by the lack of knowledge or misinformation shared by the subjects, which makes it necessary to strengthen these promotion and dissemination of psychotherapy in all contexts.
