Resumen
This research analyzes the test compressive strength of concrete cylinders with transverse unbonded such as the neoprene, using two new and used types, which is described in NTC 3708, this being a method of facing that is starting implemented in some laboratories Colombia materials.
With the present investigation seeks to compare the compressive strength of concrete with the use of new surfacing and surfacing used, which exceeds the recommended regulations for this type of test with over 100 applications and less than 200 and usage new neoprene. This way is to determine the difference that occurs in the resistance to compression cylinder by the use of either.
The tests were conducted in the laboratory using simple compression machine for this purpose forty (40) concrete cylinders were performed according to the design mixing, curing cylinder was completely submerged (pool); You start fulfilling all the above is given to testing which involves placing the concrete cylinder of 21 MPa with dimensions of 0.15 x0.30 m and wetsuits on the plates of the machine to obtain data resulting resistance of each cylinders. The test is performed at 28 and 56 days of age in order to make the same comparison and draw conclusions about the behavior of both new and using facing; similarly classify the type of failure that occurs during the use of new and used facing.
