Resumen
The present work is to give the possibility for children to learn interactively some of the historical sites in Tunja city, giving the opportUnity to develop a virtual environment for mobile devices with Android platform, 3D display some of these places.
In Tunja city is a valuable historical and cultural heritage where historic sites are of great importance and that for children the issue is not easy to learn because they feel bored or find much information difficult to understand, which makesThey are become unmotivated and unwilling to learn. Another negative factor is that due to not having information about these places or because some tourists consider passing a Tunja city, Tunja history fades into the background and it is not taken into account as important for the city. To do possible this is required technological strategies to promote such sites. At present there are different ways for interaction with different historical sites, this time an application is developed, 3D modeling the most iconic city landmarks.
The research methodology that counts the project is based on three phases: In the first phase historic sites to be modeled by performing a collection of documents with which the city is identified, it also has the support of Institute of culture and Tourism of the city of Tunja who interviews and surveys help determine the three most important landmarks. Another important for the selection of historic sites to be factor model is to have a detailed definition of the objects are there in the virtual environment and modeling techniques meet the selected sites. In this case the stack of monkey, the Pozo de Donato and the wall of the Martyrs.
As a second phase exploration of most suitable for 3D modeling technology platforms is established, a study of the tools and platforms that are performed. A comparative study of different platforms and tools found in the development of virtual environment tools used as Unity and Blender defined as are the tools best suited to the development of the project.
The third phase is the Software Engineering, where the process of construction of the project is developed, it methodologies with which it runs are described and developing the project, both the agile development methodology SCRUM software as the methodology VRML effective design and 3D modeling.
As a result and with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the city of Tunja the main historical sites in the city were selected through a questionnaire and interviews. A mobile platform for developing applications with virtual reality was diagnosed and the virtual environment for children on these sites was performed. Finally, thanks to seed researched and Virtual Reality Games of GIDINT group, unveiled the project seed XIII REDCOLSI regional meeting.
