Resumen
This work develops a case study on the consequences of the operation of the Cementos Samper extractive-industrial project known as "La Esperanza" in the village of El Manzano in the municipality of La Calera / Colombia. The influences on the agrarian structure of the territory are investigated in three components: the appropriation of space as a consequence of the expansion of capital, the proletarianization process and the locally created labor market by the company, and the ecological destruction is investigated -environmental, taking into account its social effects in terms of dispossession of environments and livelihoods. Through semi-structured interviews, documentary review and field visits, the process of concentration of property by the company, the transformation and destruction of spaces, the productive transition of the territory and its influence on new forms of peasant differentiation are described, exploring concepts of the new rurality as part of the transformation processes and the characteristics of dispossession within the expansion of capital.
