Resumen
Body awareness is an emergent, interactive and dynamic process that involves self-knowledge and self-regulation through the body-mind connection, this happens through the attention of the deep corporal processes and movements and voluntary movements. On the other hand, resilience is the phenomenon that explains how a person who has experienced potentially traumatic experiences, manages to develop, and lead a socially and psychically healthy life. Based on this, the objective of the present work was understand how body awareness is related to the development of resilience, in a group of internal men in a rehabilitation foundation for addictions in Bogotá. To this end, a body awareness program based on Hatha Yoga and Eutonia techniques was designed and implemented. The research was carried out in three stages, the first was the theoretical foundation and design of the program, second was the implementation and finally, the information gathering through a conversational scenario and a group interview. This study was qualitative with an action-technical methodology and worked with 8 men from a rehabilitation center of addictions from Bogotá. The participants showed special interest for stimulating breathing techniques and described an improvement in the relationship with themselves, as well as they shared body awareness as an effective alternative in the process of managing their emotions and making decisions in situations perceived as adverse. However it was found that for this alternative to be more efficent corporal exercises should be practiced frequently. Finally it was found that body awareness influences positively the dimensions of resilience; satisfaction, autonomy, affectivity and identity having more impact in the first mentioned dimension and less in the last.
