Resumen
The following research project aimed to carry out a documentary review of Aggression, Violence and Sport at School Age. In its methodology, a bibliographic search of 30 articles was carried out, 20 of them in Spanish and 10 in English, taking into account that their publication year was from 2010 to the present. In it’s development, it was found that various authors agree that aggressiveness is an innate natural instinct of the human being acting as a defense mechanism, highlighting the revised theory of aggression-frustration and the theory of social learning, which consist of that the human being acts when the excitement or anger increases in certain socially accepted areas and, in addition, he reproduces himself by observation, repeating the learned behaviors. On the other hand, violence is intentional behavior that can be learned from the social and/or cultural sphere, and is related to fear, threat or change; it should be noted that in the school environment it is known as bullying. Aggression, whether physical or psychological or hostile and instrumental, becomes more evident in sport, and in combat sports, emphasis was placed on martial arts and how they promote values and care for the other. In conclusion, it was found that violence is sometimes a consequence of aggressiveness, and martial arts promote self-defense, therefore, they generate a positive change in behavior and decrease aggressiveness and violent disposition, as long as they are follow the rules and there is adequate support from the coach.
