Resumen
Microalgae have proved to be an alternative with many advantages as substituents of oilseed monocultures for the production of biofuels, since comparatively, they have a higher growth rate due to the high photosynthetic efficiency, with 7%.of an oil production 30 times higher than these crops (Fernández, 2004) (Instituto Amazónico de investigación Científicas SINCHI, 2008) This is why, the present experimental research was carried out with a quantitative and qualitative approach, which seeks to contribute to the generation of third generation biofuels through the production of oil for biodiesel from microalgae.
The project was developed in three stages, the first one was carried out in the Microbiology laboratory of the Universidad Santo Tomás Villavicencio, where it was sought to identify and isolate the native algae, from water samples from the Caño Aguas Claras located in the main headquarters, obtaining the identification of Chlorella sp. In contrast to the above, in the four months of the study the isolation of the native microalgae Scenedesmus sp was not achieved; the acquisition of the certified strain of Scenedesmus acutus was made from the strains bank of the Agroindustrial Engineering laboratory of the Universidad de los Llanos, which was evaluated for cell growth and lipid production by varying nitrogen sources.
The nitrogen regulates the yield of intracellular lipids in the micro algae, therefore, alga broth culture medium, 3 nitrogen-rich substrates were added 4 g / L chicken manure, 2,2 g / L soybean meal and 3,2 g / L fish meal, in triplicate, in two lighting conditions (artificial and natural) for 3 months, it was determined that the highest cell growth was obtained when using soy flour as a nitrogen source. In the second stage, centrifugation, distillation and extraction were implemented with the Soxhlet method following the indications of the SM 5520D, obtaining a yield of 0,7ml, Finally, in the third stage, a statistical analysis was carried out with the Pearson correlation between the nitrogen sources used and the production of biomass and oil from the study algae.
