Resumen
The objective of this research is to determine if PR and RE are related to eating disorders in university students from the second to fifth semester of the Faculty of Psychology of the Santo Tomás University, Villavicencio campus. For this, a descriptive quantitative research with a correlational scope was carried out; The sample was selected through a non-probabilistic and non-random convenience sampling and was found to be made up of 66 university students, of which 37.9% belonged to the second year; 12.1% to third; 22.7% in the fourth and 27.3% in the fifth semester; made up of 86.4% women and 13.6% men. The instruments applied to measure the variables were: the HEXACO Personality Inventory, the Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) and the Eating Behavior Questionnaire (ECA). The results show that 48% (n=32) of the participants present a risk of suffering an eating disorder, while 51% (n=34) of the subjects do not present said risk; highlighting "openness to experience" as the domain with the highest prevalence and "expressive suppression" as an ER strategy. Regarding the statistical analysis, a positive correlation of low type was found between the dimensions of the variable, RE and that of TCA, likewise, between PR and TCA there is a negative correlation of low type.
