Resumen
Tumaco, a municipality in the department of Nariño, in southern Colombia, has geographical and social conditions that can be used by architecture to minimize the negative effects that armed conflicts have left in this territory. From the political and economic spheres, proposals have been launched that focus on the recovery of the tourism sector as the main source of income for the recovery of the local economy. Based on the architectural concepts, a reading of the place and its context is made, from which general strategies are proposed to mitigate the main problems encountered. As a result of the above, it is possible to conclude that an architectural proposal focused on the tourism sector is configured as a viable alternative to face the post-conflict, for which an eco-hotel is proposed in correspondence with the remarkable conditions that the territory has. This work allowed us to conclude that: Architecture directly affects the development of the economic and political conditions of a place, architectural developments have an important role in post-conflict, ecotourism is an important economic sector in which architecture can participate actively proposing architectural projects of geographic and social identity is vital for the definition of an architectural piece.
