Resumen
This document focuses on the evaluation of the impacts generated by the development of a civil work, for the hydrogeomorphological adaptation in the upper third of the Córdoba wetland, as an environmental strategy to improve the development of the essential ecological processes of the wetland, its correct hydraulic system functioning and supply of habitats for fauna, given that this wetland is considered one of the strategic ecosystems of Bogotá, in addition to being a passageway environment for migratory birds, which is why it must be conserved.
The study was carried out based on a series of field visits and with the information provided by the district company: Empresa de Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Bogotá (EAAB), in the year 2021, so that some activities, works, impacts and measures of management may have changed to date by the CONSORCIO ADECUACIÓN CÓRDOBA, in charge of the work. However, on a large scale, the application of this evaluation can be a guide for similar works.
For the evaluation of this civil work, the requirements of the aqueduct company were taken into account, which raised the need to carry out a basic characterization of the ecosystem and the activities to be developed within it; thus, by means of the modified Conesa method, proposed by the District Secretary of the Environment in 2013, the most relevant impacts to occur in the wetland were identified, and with these results three environmental management sheets were designed with indicators that would allow reducing the impacts generated and evaluate their environmental performance during the adaptation works in an efficient and effective way in the restoration and ecological recovery of the wetland.
