Degree work that intends to determine the influence of the use of the eXeLearning technological tool in the improvement of learning in the geometry area, in the 8th grade students of the Policarpa Salavarrieta Educational Institution of the city of Montería through the execution of sessions. additional pedagogical and complementary to those taught by the teacher of the Institution. For the implementation of the pedagogical sessions, it was necessary to use the eXeLearning tool where the units and activities established according to the difficulties in the area of Geometry presented by the students in the pre-test carried out by the Institution were previously uploaded. Twenty-five students from the 8th grade of the Policarpa Salavarrieta Educational Institution were selected, choosing 5 students for each course belonging to said grade.
In the first instance, the problem statement was made, in which everything related to the subject of the degree work is mentioned, the fundamental reasons that prompted this research and the proposed objectives that will help solve the educational problem raised. Next, all the foundations and background, both theoretical and conceptual, as well as legal, were investigated in order to obtain a more global and comprehensive vision of how to face this problem and what technological resources would be the most appropriate to carry out said investigation. Then, the methodology used is described, making specific reference to the type of methodology applied and its approach. In addition, the techniques and instruments for collecting information on the degree work are described, among which are the interview, the survey, the pre-test, post-test, among others. Also, the planning and implementation processes of the educational and pedagogical solution alternatives proposed to solve the research problem are evidenced. At this point, each of the pedagogical sessions carried out with the students through synchronous meetings mediated by the use of ICTs and specifically of the ZOOM platform are described in detail. Finally, the scope and limitations presented by this degree work are described, as well as the pertinent conclusions and the consulted bibliographical sources that greatly collaborated in the realization of the present investigation.
