Oral health is an important element of general health and therefore influences the quality of life of individuals, this relationship refers to the pathological conditions of the oral cavity, managed to alter the normal functioning of an individual. Objective: The main objective is to determine the variation of the quality of life related to oral health in the patients who were attended in the eighth semester dental clinics of the Santo Tomás de Aquino University during the year 2017 after the use of total and partial removable prosthesis. Materials and methods: In the present quasi-experimental study, we obtained a sample of 38 patients, selected intentionally, according to the selection criteria, in order to apply the satisfaction survey of the quality of life (OPHIP) in two moments, on admission the patient and ten months after the prosthetic rehabilitation (total and partial removable pthesis) and having overcome the adaptation process, to identify the impact on the quality of life and its relationship with oral health. Results: The quality of life related to oral health was evaluated to 37 patients before installing the prosthetic treatment. On average, the sample was 66.3 ± 13.3 years old and 23 patients (62.1%) were women. Ten months after delivering the prosthesis to the patients who performed the questionnaire for the second time, and 21 people answered the call, that is, the study loss rate was 43.2%. No differences were found in the OHIP score according to sex; 30 people received upper and lower prosthesis, while the remaining 7 used to be a prosthesis, 46% were total prostheses and 13% were removable, 46.6% were all total, 13.3% were both removable and 40 % were total prostheses for the upper arch and removable for the lower arch. The same result was observed regardless of the type of treatment established. When comparing between treatment groups, a better OHIP score was observed in patients with both total prostheses compared to those with upper and lower total dentures (p = 0.032) but no differences were observed with the other treatments. Conclusion: The best way to be in oral health and, therefore, the level of patient satisfaction, care, attention, attention, care, quality of life.
