Evaluación de las capacidades físicas en escolares mediante el uso de la batería EUROFIT

Abstract

Physical capacities in the school stage are essential for human development and its correct formation, mainly to provide benefits for daily life, such as conditional and coordinative capacities. The objective of this study is to evaluate the physical capacities of the students of Colegio Gerardo Paredes through the use of the EUROFIT Battery (European Physical Fitness). When obtaining the results of the battery, a comparison was made with the same categories evaluated and other similar populations to identify the differences and characteristics of the physical capacities of our population. The methodology implemented during this research study was of a quantitative non-experimental cross-sectional approach, with a descriptive design. The study sample consisted of 116 schoolchildren, aged 9 to 12 years, where 66 girls and 50 boys who were in the fifth year of primary school participated. The eight tests were applied by which it is composed of a manual dynamometer (maximum isometric hand grip strength) Flamenco test (static balance) Curl up (abdominal strength and resistance) The Wells test (trunk flexibility) 10 x 5 test (speed movement and agility) Course Navette test (maximum aerobic power) horizontal jump (explosive strength of the lower limbs) Tapping test (speed of the upper limbs). In conclusion, quite a few differences were found within the anthropometric values and physical capacities with schoolchildren from Europe and Asia, but in Latin America when comparing with countries such as Peru and Venezuela, the results determined that there were no major differences.
