Resumen
The present study sought to determine the relationship between the study variables rainfall, temperature and the incidence of the dengue virus in the Metropolitan Area of Bucaramanga in the years 2008 - 2018, with the aim of contributing to the health decision-making processes for mitigate this problem.
The subject is specified according to the related variables, including climatic conditions that the city presents in terms of rainfall and temperature that favor the generation of vector sources. Indeed, figures provided by SIVIGILA indicate that there are epidemiological weeks where dengue cases arise attributable to various factors, consequently, correlations were established from these data.
Given the above, a descriptive analysis, establishment of correlation, and formulation of models was carried out from data of the mentioned variables, which were provided by the corresponding government entities, there the incidence of cases of dengue transmitted by Aedes vectors is raised, previous study of the species that transmit the disease and the use of a methodology that allows evaluating the correlation that occurs between the variables.
In the developed process, the non-correlation of the study variables was determined from the descriptive and correlational statistical analyzes, therefore, it was defined that for the present investigation, the rainfall and temperature variables do not explain the cases of dengue.
